The Most Important Writing Equipment Sale To Be Held In The UK For Years.

A very large, quality collection of writing equipment has been inherited by the family of one of our past members. It is the wish of the family that members of WES and supporters of the WES organised London Writing Equipment Show are given the best possible chance to buy items from this collection.

This is being made possible through a sales table at the Show with Julie D’Arcy Evans valuing the items and organising the sale on behalf of the family. PLEASE NOTE that in order to give everyone a fair chance to buy there will be no sales before the doors of the hall are open to the public (10.00am).

At this stage we do not have a complete catalogue of the collection but it includes over 100 dip pens, pen racks, paper knives, letter openers, inkwells, quill cutters, erasers, bookmarks, rules, stamp boxes, bookends, a writing slope and miscellaneous boxes. These include examples of Mauchline ware, Tartan ware, Tonbridge ware, stencilled and painted items and have clearly been accumulated by a collector with a very discerning eye

The photographs give some idea of the range and quality of the items for sale.
