A VERY SPECIAL LIMITED EDITION FOR LWES 2008

We are pleased to make available a Limited Edition display nib. The issue marks the bicentenary of the birth of Louis Napoleon Bonaparte (Napoleon III) and celebratesthe fraternal relationship between W.E.S. and our French sister organisation Club Collectionneurs d'Objects d'Ecriture (CCOE)

napoleon nib pack shot
The nib is approximately 75mm. in length. It recreates the style of the display nibs of the 19th century. Beautifully detailed each nib is hand finished and made from Argentine which is a tarnish resistant silver like alloy. The nib has been designed and finished by Jean-Pierre Bellot of CCOE.
napoleon nib jigThis very special edition is limited to an issue of only 100 nibs. Both the nib and the mount are individually numbered. The photograph above shows the prototype nib with its packaging. Due to the hand finished nature of the nib the production version may have some variations.

napolean nib design
The cost of this very special limited edition to W.E.S. members is expected to be £20 plus p&p, it will be available in the week leading up to the show on 12th. October.
The price to non W.E.S. members is £25 plus p&p. Orders may be picked up from the W.E.S. table at the show without incurring the p&p charge. If you would like to place an order including consideration for a particular number, please email jeremy.collingridge@btopenworld.com with your request.
The limited edition pen fro LWES 2007 showed a very substantial increase in value after the show. Of course, while potential purchasers of the nib will bear this in mind no guarantee of an increase in value can be made. However this limited edition nib remains a very attractive, finely made and hand finished collectible item in its own right.
We offer sincere thanks to Jean-Pierre Bellot for making this nib available for the show. We also send send our best wishes to the CCOE in celebrating the fraternal relationship between our organisations as we approach the London show.
